Dr. Colin Macarthur   
 
Colin Macarthur MBChB, PhD completed his medical training at the University of Glasgow Scotland, and doctoral training in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at McGill University, Canada.  Dr. Macarthur is currently a Senior Scientist in the Hospital for Sick Children Research Institute in the Child Health Evaluative Sciences Program. From 2012-2017, Dr. Macarthur was Associate Chief Clinical Research at the Hospital for Sick Children, and previous to that (2004-2011), Dr. Macarthur was Vice President Research at Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and inaugural Director of the Bloorview Research Institute. Dr. Macarthur is a Professor in the Department of Paediatrics and the Department of Health Policy Management and Evaluation at the University of Toronto. His area of research interest is the epidemiology and prevention of childhood injury.

Dr. Macarthur has secured operating grant support from CIHR, NSERC, and ONF, and co-authored over 170 original articles. He was a founding Board Member and Chair of the Quality Committee for Parachute a national injury prevention organization and was previously an editorial board member for the journal Injury Prevention.

Dr. Roger Zemek  
 
Roger Zemek, MD, is a Pediatric Emergency Physician practicing at the Children’s Hospital of Ontario (CHEO) in the Emergency Department as well as a Senior Scientist in the CHEO Research Institute. He completed his undergraduate studies in Applied Mathematics at Yale University, and his medical school and pediatric residency at Columbia University in New York City. He moved to Canada for his Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training at McGill. He is a full Professor in the Departments of Pediatrics and Emergency Medicine and holds a Clinical Research Chair in Pediatric Concussion at the University of Ottawa. He is the Director of the Clinical Research Unit at CHEO, and is the Chair of the Pediatric Emergency Research Canada (PERC) network. He is the principal investigator on multiple federal peer-reviewed grants, with expertise in pediatric concussion. He led the largest pediatric concussion study in the world to date examining the predictors for Persistent Post-Concussion Symptoms in children suffering a concussion, and led an international team for the development of guidelines for the management of pediatric concussion.
